Back in the days of big hair and parachute pants, Terry Holmes built his first home.  A framer and roofer by trade, Terry took a big risk in building his first home in 1982 in Carrollton, Texas.  That risk had huge dividends -- thirty years {and counting} of custom home building in North Dallas. 

Holmes Builders started its building days in Carrollton, Texas.  In the early days, homes were 2500+ square feet and more simple in design.  But, they were always custom.  Holmes Builders has been a truly custom builder from its inception. 

As the company grew, Holmes Builders spread into the Plano, Flower Mound, and Coppell markets.  Over the years, Holmes Builders has built in a substantial portion of North Texas, including Dallas, Farmers Branch, Highland Park, Las Colinas, Lewisville, and Southlake. 

In this day and age, Holmes Builders is known for a distinct product.  Holmes homes are thoroughly custom.  From the floor plan to the elevations, each element of the home is designed to satisfy the tastes of clients. 

All Holmes homes are filled with quality architectural details -- both inside and out.  With inspiration from our architectural forefathers in Europe, Holmes Builders gives great attention to the authenticity of each home's design.  Holmes Builders spends an equal amount of time designing the trim, cabinets, and other elements inside the home.  After all, Holmes homes are not showpieces for the viewing public but intimate spaces for families to enjoy.

Over the years, the process of building a Holmes Builders home has been tested and refined.  After thirty years of experience in the custom building industry, Holmes Builders has a well-established process that allows clients to be integral members of the team designing and building their homes.
The Holmes Builders process is different than many other builders in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. There are five general phases of the Holmes Builders process: home design, pricing, lot closing, interior and exterior selections, and construction.  The Holmes team of architects, an estimator, interior designers, and project managers work with clients at each phase to ensure that their needs, ideas and budget are being met.
